Tourist route UNESCO

Tourist route UNESCO

This marked route will take you to the most significant sights of the historical town which was a fort of church power ever since it was founded. The starting point of the route is the main entrance to Chateau garden from where you can walk to the historical wine cellars, walk through the only preserved town gate and from the Archbishop chateau continue along picturesque Pilarova street past churches of St. Moric and St. John the Baptist to Masaryk square full of history and unique architecture. The final point is the gate of Flower garden. The route is marked by stones with a relief of the town logo that are built in the pavements. The arrow in the relief always shows the direction to Flower garden.

Orientation arrows

The orientation system will take you to the most significant sights, hotels with more than 20 beds and other tourist and interesting spots in the historical centre of the town with the help of arrows with the individual places written on them. The arrows, using the colours of the town logo, show the quickest way to the chosen place.

Information totems

Information totems

Information totems placed at important spots will make your way around the town easier. In their upper part you will find a plan of the town where chosen sights are marked and which shows the place where you are right now. Every sight is marked with a number and complete with a short description of them.

Low information panels

You will find them near the churches in Rieger, Masaryk and Stojan square. Because these are, given the history, architecture or current life in the town, significant places, the panels offer more comprehensive information about the place, its history or local interesting spots.
